Tim has been an experienced paraglider since 1990 and has been flying Advance Wings since 1998 when Gavin Foster sold him a second-hand Omega 4. Tim had won a round of the BPC in Snowdonia on his Nova Sphinx. Gavin, never one to hold back, phoned him and persuaded him to replace his old equipment. He flew the O4 for four years until Gavin offered a second-hand O5 that he had to try. After a day of flying down at Puts borough (North Devon), he bought it and kept it for seven years.
In 2015, Tim flew a PB of 220 km from Milk Hill to Thetford. You can read about the flight here. In 2016, he transitioned to an Omega X-Alps 2 with a Lightness 2 harness and Companion reserve, with a total pack weight of approx. 14 kgs including helmet, instruments, water, and sandwiches.
Tim participated in BPC and British Opens. In 2014, he competed in both rounds of the British Champs for the first time. He won the Sports Class in Ager and came in 3rd place in the Championships in Sports Class. At present, he resides in Bath and is married with two grown-up children. When not paragliding, he's either kitesurfing, cycling, or working on his day job, which involves designing, building, and hosting marketing databases.
