Lauren Sapala's Diary

Lauren Sapala is a multi-talented writer, coach, and advocate for intuitive introverts. With her books, teaching, and coaching, Lauren has become a guiding light for writers who identify as INFJ and INFP. In addition, she helps other sensitive and struggling artists.

Lauren's journey of helping blocked writers began in 2009. Lauren's personal story includes a setback during college when a creative writing professor discouraged her and told her to abandon writing. This heartbreaking experience caused her to stop writing for seven years. However, she found solace and inspiration in an unconventional writing group modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous. Rediscovering her creative gifts, she started her own writing group, WriteCity, where writers could gather to silently write without fear of criticism. To her surprise, she noticed a specific type of writer gravitating towards the group: sensitive and intuitive individuals plagued by self-doubt.

Recognizing that intuitive writers have a unique approach to the creative process, Lauren observed their inclination towards character-driven storytelling, psychological depth, and the exploration of myth and archetype. These writers often struggle with speed and are highly sensitive to criticism and revisions. Drawing from her personal experiences and insights gained from her clients, Lauren embarked on writing a book that delves into the distinctive temperament and creative process of sensitive intuitive writers.

In conclusion, Lauren Sapala's work is an invaluable resource for writers who identify with the INFJ and INFP personality types, as well as other empathic and struggling artists. Through her books, coaching, and personal journey, she provides guidance and understanding to writers who approach their craft from a place of intuition and sensitivity.
