Jeremy welcomes his readers and expresses pleasure in meeting with them. He believes that sharing food with friends and family is the most comforting thing a person can do, which is why he's here to share his recipes with his readers.
He'd like to start by saying that if he can tell his readers one thing about himself, he already feels much more comfortable with this blog than he has with any other project before. He feels like he can be himself because he's truly mixing his top two passions, photography and cooking.
Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Jeremy has been calling Texas home for the past 11 years. He's a son, husband, dad, and self-taught portrait photographer who loves to cook. That's what gave him the confidence to start this blog in the first place, but it wasn't his main motivation.
In March of 2020, he was let go from a remote sales position. It was the beginning of the US truly feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many people found themselves in the same position. Given the stay-at-home order and closures, he started Chicken Fried Kitchen to help those who didn't normally cook at home learn how to do so while he was learning how to take his culinary skills to the next level.
Chicken Fried Kitchen has evolved into a brand and is now offering a full-service delivery-only artisan bakery based in Lindale, Tx. Their Lindale Bagelbox offers fresh gourmet bagels, artisan bread loaves, jumbo muffins, farmhouse cinnamon rolls, and cast-iron cookies, all baked fresh and personally delivered within a 5-town radius of East Texas.
At this point, Jeremy emphasizes that this whole thing isn't about him. His goal is to take everyone at every cooking level along this culinary journey, trying new recipes and making all kinds of home-cooked meals, from the most comforting comfort foods to beautiful gourmet meals alike. He'll be sharing recipes that he's personally tried, served, and received only the best responses on, so basically, he'll only send the right direction to his followers. He grew up with a grandma and mom who truly could and can cook their hearts out. He's learned a lot from them and is excited not only to pass that along to his kids and grandkids but to his readers and followers as well.
