Olivia is the person behind this blog. She has a deep passion for horses that has been a lifelong obsession. Since her childhood pony rides to college polo, her equestrian journey has been both diverse and challenging.
The blog captures Olivia's experiences with her horses, detailing the highs and lows of her equestrian adventures. From overcoming injuries to finding the right companions, Olivia's journey is a testament to her unwavering passion for horses.
Starting with weekly lessons in 3rd grade, Olivia progressed to becoming a working student, handling various horses from OTTBs to expensive warmbloods. In college, she found polo more exciting than traditional riding, becoming a key member of the Vassar polo team.
Post-college life brought financial constraints, but Olivia and her husband pursued their love for horses in California. They opted to buy their horses due to high lesson costs, leading to the acquisition of Shasta and Dijon. However, the journey was not without challenges, including injuries and the sale of a horse named Gandolf.
Amidst these trials, Olivia continued to expand her equestrian family with horses like Cinder and Finnick. Tragedy struck when she broke her back in a riding incident, but she recovered over time. Despite the setbacks, Olivia's determination led her to fulfill her dream of owning a mule named Nilla.
