Susan is a homemaker, computer consultant, and wannabe cook. She is not aspiring to be a chef, but rather just a good cook before she gets too old to hold a frying pan. She doesn't want to be called Aunt.
She married in her mid-thirties and is a little embarrassed to say she didn’t know how to cook much of anything. She was good at warming up Cheese-Whiz in the jar and eating it with chips. When the company came over, she would marinate chicken breasts in French Dressing and grill them for an outdoor picnic extravaganza. They turned a funny color of orange, but she thought they were good and her guests were very polite.
Susan thinks that she is married to Bret, an amazing man who goes along with her attempts, although sometimes painful, at creating tasty dishes that don't kill them or clog their arteries too much.
She’s a home cook who looks for recipes online, in old standard cookbooks, in magazines, from friends, and occasionally creates her own. A while back she put together a family cookbook for her niece, Lisa, and had the most fun doing it! She’s amassed quite a few recipes with reviews and intends on continuing, so she thought she’d share her thoughts and reviews that may help new cooks, old cooks, and people who like to gawk. Hopefully, you'll find some new favorites to add to your recipe box.
