As the citizens of the United States wraps up voting for their President and other local and federal government officials across the nation, various poll results started coming up. Like many other citizens, I went to my poll site and completed my civic duty even though it was chaotic and sort of unorganized.
Undoubtedly this is a very important election for the US and it's citizen. Depending on the result, Democratic party may get another four year to work and implement their policies or Republican party may get their nominee at the office. Whatever happens, history will be made tonight. If Kamala Harris wins, she will become the first female President of the nation representing African-American and Asian-American people. If Donald Trump comes out victorious, he will make one of the greatest political comeback in the US history. Whatever happens, I just don't want to see anything similar to whatever happened in 2020 election.
The effect of this election result will re-shape the global politics for next four years. There are multiple wars going on out there, people are dying, lives are being destroyed and that need to be stopped for the sake of global peace. Similarly, we as a nation also going through so many issues that needs to be taken in serious consideration. Issues like immigration, abortion, taxes, civil rights, education, social security, climate you name it, pretty much everything is at stake here. Someone must address them and deal with those. As a citizen and I am deeply concerned and frustrated at the same time.
Whoever becomes the president he or she must act and act fast. We can not go on and on like this. Let's put our political differences aside and work together for you and for me. Let there be peace.
