For many reason web developers may often change the "file permission" on the web server, especially because of security reasons it is very important. However, even though it might sound bit complex but in reality it is not. Even you can change the file permission with your FTP Client software.
Today in this post I will show you how to change the file permission from an FTP client software. For demonstration purpose I would be using FileZilla FTP client software.
Step by Step Procedure:
Step 1: Open up your FTP client software and connect to your web server.
Step 2: Locate and select the file with the cursor and then press the right button of your mouse.
Step 3: Select the "File Permission" option from the menu and that should open up "Change File Attributes" window with multiple check boxes.
Step 4: Simply check the boxes based on your own requirement or change the "Numerical Value" input field as you desire.
This is the basic idea and that's pretty much all you need to do to change the file permission on your web server using the FTP client software.
