If i were pick the most important person who had the most profound impact in my life, it would be my Dad without any competition. Not only because he was my father but because he was exceptionally successful maintaining all the close relationships he had until his demise. As father, son, brother, husband, uncle and most importantly as a human being, he was and still is the only icon that I tend to follow as much as I can.
Growing up in a conservative family in my native Bangladesh, we were disciplined from the very early age of our lives. Directly or indirectly, my Dad had shaped and defined a big part of who we are now. Socially, morally and intellectually he was a great teacher and mentor. As an adult, I roamed across the world and learned things or two from here and there but he still remains the only teacher who taught me the fundamental values of my life which I tried not to give up despite all the overwhelming adversities that I came across so far.
Back in 2019 when my Dad passed away, I was in New York and it was the lowest point of my life without any doubt in my mind. I met him the year prior and he was in fairly good health without any major issue. Then some very unexpected events took place and we lost him in a whim. It was the most difficult time of my life.

Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday. Just wanted to say, Happy Birthday Baba. We love you and we will miss you. Wherever you are, know that we are alright and you will forever be in our memory and prayer. May almighty God have mercy on your soul and reward you the best that you so rightfully deserve.
