I stopped using traditional wallet for quite sometime now. Not because I do not like wallet but because it became cumbersome to carry around, specially when I barely need it. Generally speaking, I do not need to carry so much cash as I do most of my transactions using my cards. So, I thought it would be useful to get a wallet to carry few cards and few bucks just in case if I need it.
I did my research and came across a brand called "Secrid" which is based out of Holland. In New York, I found few retailers who were selling their wallets back in 2018. I visited one of the retail store and after checking out few other colors, I ended up getting the slim wallet which had vintage brown color leather cover.

After using this wallet for seven years at a row, I don't think I can go back to any other type of wallet anytime soon. Quite surprisingly, I am still using this wallet and apart from few scratch marks here and there, it's still serving its purpose just fine without any major issue.
One of the biggest reason behind purchasing this wallet was the RFID / NFC protection. The main card protector section of this wallet is made out of aluminum which protects the card from bending, breaking or unwanted RFID and NFC communications. To push out the cards from the aluminum sleeve, there is a trigger at the bottom. The mechanism of this trigger is patented but I do care less if it is patented or not. Most important issue for me as a consumer is that it works and works all the time. I can easily shove in five cards on this sleeve and that is good enough for me.
Perhaps the most flimsy part of this wallet is the plastic holder where you can keep some cash. Surprisingly that is attached with the aluminum card protector with some kind of glue. I got not clue why that glue did not gave up yet after so many years of usage. Not that I want it to happen but it will give up eventually. Quality of the leather used on this wallet is very good and feels very soft. It became really smooth even though it has absorbed number of scratches over the years. I do not wear jeans pants anymore. I believe that could be one reason why the leather is still pretty intact as it does not get rubbed against strong materials for the most of the part.
As a consumer, I would rate this wallet ten out of ten without any question. Others opinion might vary but I would highly recommend you to go over some of the video reviews online before you make your decision. Yes, it is a bit pricey but you get what you paid for. Overall, this is the best wallet that I have ever used and I will go back to Secrid again if I need another wallet for myself or my family members. Keep up the good work Secrid.
