Working on New UI Design

It's been couple of years now since the current UI of this site has been designed and I never got the time to look back. It's not that I never thought about to start working on the new design rather I was too busy listing new blog sites on my catalog which is a bit daunting process.

After working for quite a few months, I eventually came up with a healthy list of blog sites which now contains well over two thousands of site. Now, let's not forget that this listing will continue to grow as we move forward. I am also thinking of adding a submission page from where visitors or site owners can request to add their own blog site to my listing. The process of adding the blog site would be a bit complicated for verification purpose but I will definitely explain the entire process on one of my post once the system is in place first.

As far as the UI is concerned, I am happy to inform you all that I already started working on a new design. Since this blog not only covers programming related stuff, I am also trying to focus more on tech news emphasizing on recent developments in tech industry. The upcoming UI will mimic more of a magazine type design layout instead of a personal blog design pattern.

Apart from UI design, I am also being forced to look back on my codebase as both the PHP and MySQL version is being updated every now and then. Remember, I no longer run this site on WordPress. There are quite a few things that need to be updated in order to make this site compatible with the latest versions of those technologies. If everything goes as planned 2024 will be the year of major upgrade for this site and I am looking forward to that. So, stay tuned and thank you.
