Yet Another Social Media Site Opens Up

On a personal level, I stopped using Facebook way back but I still have my page over there even though that's not being updated frequently. Similarly, I have an account on X platform, formerly known as Twitter and that account is also suffering from non usage related issues as well.

However, today "Bluesky" opened up for all and I didn't wait for long to create an account just to have my desired handle on that platform. Does that mean I will jump on that site and start using it so passionately? The answer is, highly unlikely even though I wholeheartedly welcome their effort.

Their ideas and promises are quite appealing. Then again, all the social media sites initially started with lots of good promises. Whether all of them lived up to their promises or not is another subject to talk about but today is not the right time to go on a rant over this. I want to take my time before I make any serious comment on that.

Perhaps, the most interesting part of about Bluesky is, Jack Dorsey initially took this initiatives back in late 2019 but I am not quite sure if he's still supporting it or not. Whatever the case is, I think I will simply wait for the time being. Thanks.
