Yuan is a US-based writer, world traveler, web developer, and photographer, is the creative force behind this website. Originally born in Kunming, the southern part of China, every season there feels like Spring! After completing 4 years of high school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she moved to Portsmouth, England, where she spent 6 years obtaining her bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Living in the United States for almost 2 decades now, Yuan currently resides in Tennessee.
Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, moving around so much in her youth allowed her an unprecedented opportunity to explore the world and be exposed to multiple cultures and a variety of foods. She still remembers her childhood, influenced by her parents and grandmother who cooked every meal from scratch in their kitchen. Yuan has been endeavoring to recreate those flavors from her childhood memories.
Food has always played a significant role in Yuan's life. She enjoys making everything from scratch to feed her family and finds immense satisfaction in seeing them enjoy her delicious meals. She firmly believes in the value of home cooking and aims to inspire others with a blend of modern cooking techniques and authentic recipes, particularly in the realm of authentic Chinese cuisine.
