David is an individual with over 15 years of experience in regularly jumping from airplanes. He participated in overseas competitions and eventually took on the role of instructing first-timers, guiding them through that life-changing leap.

He can still vividly recall his first jump as if it happened yesterday. The fear he experienced before the jump, the tension within the plane, and the elation of falling away from the door into a 100-mph slipstream while witnessing the nylon flower develop above his head. This moment marked the beginning of his fascination with human flight.

However, labeling skydiving as "Human Flight" may be a slight exaggeration. It doesn't involve true flight; instead, it's more akin to a controlled fall. Even after deploying the parachute, it's a constant descent, and no amount of toggle input can transform it into a true aerofoil wing.

Nevertheless, David had a profound love for skydiving that persisted for many years. He thrived on the competitions he engaged in, and becoming an instructor brought him the most joy and fulfillment he had ever experienced in a sport.

However, due to family commitments, he eventually had to acknowledge that pursuing such a time-consuming sport wasn't entirely compatible with his life. Nevertheless, throughout that time, the desire to return to flying of some sort was always present in his mind. Paragliding emerged as the obvious choice, providing a means to relish unpowered flight in the mountainous terrain near his home.
