Sara is the founder, chef, photographer, and writer behind this blog. She loves to cook and is driven to do so. This passion has been a constant in her life, even before she really knew how to cook, as anyone who ever tried one of her many pre-chef experiments can attest to. That drive eventually propelled Sara through over 2500 hours of assisting, training, and teaching at the Natural Gourmet Institute, along with an internship at Michelin-starred Annisa.
She was given a strong appreciation for simplicity in cooking competitions, professional recipe development, private cheffing, and a TV appearance. This appreciation inspired her to create this blog. Sara's favorite part about cooking is taking a basic recipe and turning it into something special for someone else whether that be with a new technique, a seasonal ingredient, or how it's served. She loves working with whole foods and real ingredients and has a background in health-supportive cooking. Additionally, Sara really enjoys sharing Dutch oven recipes on the blog.
