Next Generation Politics Blog

In the Summer of 2016, Next Generation Politics was started by a high school junior named Ryan Adell. It's a youth-led organization. Later, Ryan teamed up with Nick Sawicki, a high school sophomore who ran the Atlas Business Journal. They shared the same goals and renamed the journal as NGP Blog. Together, they built a national and global network of young people who want to be positively engaged in civic matters.

Next Gen's blog became a place for members to talk about political news, hold town halls with government officials, have debates, and interview leaders. They did all this without much money but still made a big impact.

Around the same time in 2017, a group of adults founded Civic Forums. They saw that our country had problems with civic issues and not enough civic education in schools. Civic Forums bring together teens from different backgrounds and schools to work on finding inclusive solutions for our society. They encourage open discussions and help high school students make informed political choices.
