Tanya cordially maintains the blog. She is married with three children, so having free time is a luxury she no longer possesses. Whenever she had a sugar craving, the only thing she managed to bake were cookies. She almost always had the basic ingredients, and cookies could be baked in no time.
But one day, she decided that she wanted to learn more. She wanted to discover the world of pastries. Since she was unable to join a pastry school, she decided to learn the basic techniques on her own. She set herself a goal: she would bake one new dessert every single week until she had covered everything.
In order to achieve this, organizing herself was crucial. She had to prepare an ingredient list before her weekly shopping, read all the instructions very carefully ahead of time, and most importantly, break down the recipe into as many steps as possible. All these were a must so that she could fit in baking during her baby’s midday naps or in the evenings.
From this came the idea of making a baking calendar, which would enable her to view all the ingredients and preparation needed ahead of time. She created this blog hoping that these calendars might help other busy people whose lives brighten up when they are baking.
And if you have free time but are overwhelmed by all the recipes out there and are in need of structure, then this blog is for you too. Together, you will discover all the wonderful resources out there and become better bakers with every passing day.
