Charlotte is currently living life on the mother of all surf trips. A little while ago, she left her job as an accountant in the UK, rented her house, kissed her friends and family goodbye, and set off in search of sun, swell, and warmer waters.
When she was preparing for her trip, having not backpacked or traveled alone before, she relied heavily on invaluable information and advice from other bloggers. From giving her the confidence to travel solo to fine-tuning her packing list, she couldn't have done it without them. The only thing that was lacking was a comprehensive, unbiased guide specific to surf travel. She decided to use what she would learn on her travels and create A Broad on a Board to fill that gap and to give other surfers, travelers, and backpackers the information, inspiration, and advice they need to turn their own surf trip or travel dreams into reality.
Charlotte's goal is not just to produce another travel blog. She aims to create an independent, trustworthy resource where anyone traveling or planning a surf trip can get all the information and advice they need, whether that be where to go when to go, or what to pack, to detailed location-specific information and tips that she has gathered on her journey.
