Amy's Healthy Baking

Amy is a California native currently residing in San Diego, originally hailing from the suburbs of San Francisco. Her kitchen companion is none other than her brother, who oversees her culinary endeavors. From a young age, she developed a passion for crafting imaginative desserts and foods.

This blog predominantly features lower-calorie and lower-fat recipes, offering a plethora of options for vegans, gluten-free enthusiasts, and those seeking sugar-free alternatives. In June 2015, Amy transitioned to sharing more clean-eating recipes, firmly believing that healthier options can be just as delectable as their indulgent counterparts.

Amy's culinary journey began with assisting in the "real" kitchen, tackling everything from chocolate chip cookies to Dad's special whole wheat bread rolls for Thanksgiving. At seven, she prepared her first recipe independently, though a little assistance from Mom was needed for the oven. By high school, "working in a bakery" found its place on her bucket list.

Despite initially studying Organic Chemistry at UC Davis with plans for a career in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Amy experienced an epiphany during graduate school. Clad in a lab coat, purple gloves, and safety glasses, she realized her true passion lay in experimenting with edible "reactions" in her home kitchen. This revelation prompted Amy to make blogging her full-time pursuit, leading her to where she is today.
