Jason is a visual artist and photographer. He specializes in Isle of Wight Surf Photography. Based in the West Wight on the South-West coast of the island, he has a collection of fine art landscapes and action/lifestyle photography with the common theme of the island’s beautiful coastline and all the sports and activities that take place there. These include surfing, bodyboarding, Stand-up-paddle-boarding (SUP), paragliding, sailing, walking, mountain biking, and many more besides.
His relationship with photography began at a young age, and he's used cameras for as long as he can remember. It started out as a way of capturing and composing ideas for his paintings using traditional media and as inspiration for his graphic design ideas. Slowly over the years, it grew on him as an art form in its own right. He loves the immediacy and energy of the medium, and it was a series of shots taken on his travels in Peru that he first felt were interesting enough to stand on their own to be viewed as ‘Art’.
