Delaney has initiated this food blog. Through this blog, her motive was to help people all adopt a plant-based lifestyle for a happier, healthier life. Her journey toward wellness started in health-conscious Austin, Texas, but took off during her time at the University of Montana.

Delaney attended the university's Triathlon Club and studied Community Health and Prevention Sciences. Therefore, she gained knowledge of the need to lead an active lifestyle, eat a balanced diet, and give her mental health priority. Through graduation, she earned a certification in massage therapy, started teaching exercise classes, and worked as a personal trainer.

She is now living a plant-based life. Besides this, she is on a mission to inspire others by sharing her journey of transformation. In 2019, she founded Joyful Balance to specialize in individual health coaching and plant-based cookery.

Delaney believes that eating healthily is more about finding contentment and balance within oneself than it is about strictly adhering to rules. While she primarily consumes plant-based meals free of animal products and highly processed foods, she acknowledges that everyone approaches health differently and allows herself the occasional indulgence.

Delaney emphasizes that one does not have to follow a rigorous diet to reap the benefits of her recipes, and she encourages people to experiment with plant-based eating at their own pace through her site. Her guiding principles center on increasing one's intake of plants while accepting balance and discovering joy in the process.
