Parked is a non-profit educational blog. It was curated in 2016 and right now Josh is playing the editorial role in the blog. The mission of the blog is to produce valuable insights into sports through scientific research, highlighting the artistry of disk golf photography.
Josh Woods, is a professor of sociology at West Virginia University. He has authored four academic books, numerous journal articles, and publications in popular media. These include articles featured in Udisc's Release Point and Ultiworld Disc Golf. His most recent research focuses on emerging sports communities, with a particular emphasis on disc golf. He has been working on a book titled "Emerging Sports as Social Movements: Disc Golf and the Rise of an Unknown Sport," which was scheduled to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021.
